Biergarten Mühlenpark is located in Garching near Munich about 17km north along the Isar river from central Munich. Set within the boundaries of an historical wooden corn mill belonging to the Bavarian state, the beer garden has existed since 1975. The current and second leasholder has managed this small and often crowded beer garden since 1979.

There are 650 seats on old-style fixed-to-the-ground tables mostly shaded by large trees and some roofed areas which are part of the original mill structure. An old water wheel from the original mill always rotates in a stream running along the side of the beer garden. Unlike most other beer gardens there are no waitress serviced tables; only a self-service area. The kitchen in the food stall however offers a wide selection of delicious Bavarian meals. Steckerlfisch (grilled fish on a stick) is prepared over a charcoal grill on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The Hacker-Pschorr beer from the tap is sold at a very reasonable price of €5 p/Maß.

Mühlenpark is open seasonally from middle of March until middle of October everyday when the weather is good from 10:30am until 10:30pm.
