The beer garden has about 1100 seats shaded by large chestnut trees. Due to the fact that the beer garden is part of the Viktualienmarkt, there is no gravel ground as in every other traditional beer garden. Instead the beer benches stand on cobblestone. Viktualienmarkt beer garden is always busy, especially on sunny days throughout the lunch time. In those hours business men sit next to tourists as well as locals taking a break from their shopping or sightseeing tour.
