'''As the name Laimer's indicates, the beer garden is located in the Laim district in the centre of Munich. Laimer's is a cosy, quiet neighbourhood beer garden, which attracts guests of all age groups.'''
The main building exists since 1898 and serves since then as a restaurant. During World War II, the ball room located in the first floor was converted into a military hospital. The Rex cinema , one of the oldest cinemas in Munich, is located in the same building and many viewers enjoy a [[Maß]] in the beer garden before or after the movie.
The beer garden has about 400 seats, 1/3 in the self-serviced area and 2/3 in the served area. Almost all seats are shaded by large chestnut trees. Guests of the self-serviced area can sit on traditional beer garden benches. The food stall of the self-serviced area offers Bavarian meals, such as [[Obatzda]], Wurstsalat (sliced sausages in vinegar), Leberkäse (liver loaf) and spareribs.
During the warm months the self-serviced area is open daily from 5pm to 11pm. Before that, guests can buy their drinks in the served area, which opens at 111m.
