Seeblick has existed since 1975 and is located by the small Karlsfelder lake 16km from the centre of Munich and about 5km from the centre of Dachau. The beer garden is a popular stop-by for swimmers, sunbathers and picnickers spending a day on the lake.
The beergarden is more so a lakeside kiosk than a traditional Munich beer garden, partly due to its lack of chestnut trees and typical beer garden gravel ground in exchange of a stone-tile floor. That said, the self service area holds true the Bavarian tradition of permitting guests to bring their own food. There are about 200 seats all of which have views of the lake which are divided approximately equally between the self-serviced area with beer garden benches and a serviced terrace with regular tables and chairs. The beer served from the tap is Paulaner and a Maß Helles (lager) costs €6.20.
The beer garden is open when the weather is good everyday throughout the summer from 10am.
