Alter Wirt Ramersdorf beer garden is well-shaded below a cluster of chestnut trees. The beer garden has 800 seats with 400 of them in the serviced area. The beer type served is Löwenbraü helles (lager) and Franziskaner weißbier (weath beer).

On warm summer days there is an open area barbecue grill from at 4pm. The procedure in the self-service area is to go and order the meat which will be prepared by the service staff who will shout out loud when your order is ready. There are excellent spare ribs on offer for €5.99. A specialty is the “Entenjagd”; - a quarter of a duck at €5.99. During the “Wiener Revolution” a large Schnitzel Weiner Art (real veal schnitzel) costs €5.99. Untypical for a beer garden is the happy hour which is from 4pm to 6pm as well as from 10pm until closing time, when the Löwenbraü maß (1-litre) costs only €5. Kids get their first small soft drink for free. Additionally, there is an Alter Wirt Ramerdorf Friendship Card is given to regulars who apply for it which offers discounts on some menu items.

The Alter Wirt Ramerdorf restaurant is open from 11.30am to 11.30pm. The self-serviced area section of the beer garden is open from 4pm until the last guests have left. The Alter Wirt Ramerdorf also runs as a small hotel with seven rooms decorated in traditional Bavarian style. There is a 15th century Bavarian church next to the beer garden.

The Alter Wirt Ramersdorf is located in the east section of Munich and can be reached by a short walk from Karl-Preis-Platz underground station, about a 15 minutes ride from the main station.
