Alter Wirt Ramersdorf beer garden is garden is well shaded under thick chestnut trees. The beer garden has 800 seats, 400 of them in the serviced area, serving Löwenbräu helles (lager) and Franziskaner weißbier (Bavarian wheat beer).

On warm summer days there is an open barbecue grill starting at 4pm. The ordering procedure for guests in the self-service area is to go up and order the meat by the kitchen or by the grill which will be prepared by a service staff who will shout out aloud your order when ready to fetch. There are excellent spare ribs on offer for €5.99. A specialty is “Entenjagd” - a quarter of a duck at €5.99. During the “Wiener Revolution” a large Schnitzel Weiner Art (real veal schnitzel) costs €5.99. Untypical for any beer garden is a Happy Hour which is from 4pm to 6pm as well as from 10pm until closing time. The Löwenbraü maß (1-litre) then costs only €5 and kids get their first small soft drink for free. Additionally, an Alter Wirt Ramersdorf Friendship Card is given to regulars who apply fot it, offering discounts on some regular menu prices.

The restaurant is open from 11.30am to 11.30pm. The self-serviced area section of the beer garden is open from 4pm until the last guests have left. The Alter Wirt Ramerdorf also runs as a small hotel with seven rooms decorated in traditional Bavarian style and there is a 15th century church next to the beer garden.

The Alter Wirt Ramersdorf is located in the east section of Munich and can be reached by a short walk from Karl-Preis-Platz underground station, about a 15-minute ride from the main station.
