The Bier & Oktoberfest Museum is located in a historical building in the centre of Munich. The museum exhibits the history of the Oktoberfest and ancient beer brewing traditions of Bavaria and includes an interesting collection of artefacts and prints from old times. The various sections of the museum are divided between several floors. On the top floor an ongoing cinema documents how the beer brewing history has evolved from the very beginning until its present day industry. On the ground floor there is a small restaurant, bar and beer cellar.

The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday between 1pm and 6pm. The restaurant and bar is open until midnight. The museum, restaurant and bar are closed on Sundays and public holidays.
