The beer garden is partly shaded by chestnut trees and sun-umbrellas. A mixture of locals, touristLocals, tourists and school classes often arrive in groups and make this a lively and mixed crowd and lively beer garden. This is prepared to perfection by a dedicated cook using freshly cought traut however no ordinary Steckerlfish; the brown trout comes from the Beeringsee in the mountains, topped area and is grilled on a charcoal grill with 19 different herbs and spices from an organic herbal garden at Andechs. At €20 (approximately twice the price of a Steckerlfisch in other beer gardens) this A lower priced variety is no ordinary Steckerlfish! Other menu items at the food stall including beer are moderately priced. A Standard beer garden benches offer about 250 self-serviced seats. There are no serviced tables. Instead, the serviced and more formal [[Klostergasthof Andechs|Klostergasthof Andechs Wirtsgarten ]] is located across the courtyard. Additionally, [[Kloster Andechs Bräustüberl]], a few short steps up the hill, is also part the self-serviced beer hall with an outdoor terrace including some great views of the surrounding landscape. Guests can bring the Steckerlfisch from the Kloster Andechs property which can be found across Biergarten to the court yardKloster Andechs Bräustüberl.

The Depending on the number of visitors, the beer garden is open on weekdays when the weather is good from 10am until 6pm and on weekends until 8pm. The seasonal opening period depends on the weather but usually lasts from easter Easter until end of October or early November.
